The Nurturing Beanpod
The educational theorist Edgar Dale developed his famous “Cone of Learning” in 1969, in which he studies retention rates for different types of learning methodologies. What he found was striking – retention levels can range from 50% in traditional “academic” methods (lectures, reading, etc) to 70% once methods like case studies are used. However, the ultimate in learning experiences consists in simulation, where retention can reach 90%...not much lower than retention levels found with actual experience.

The Nurturing Beanpod is a process of hand holding the participants on the field, in real time, reinforce the training and help them translate training into practice. We typically do this immediately after The Beanpod Experience to transfer the learning to field, reinforce the learning 90 days later and thereafter at 180 days.
This is yet another reason why we invest time in the pre training profiling stage to understand the systems and the strengths of each of the participating managers.
