The Beanpod Experience

We conceived these sessions as ‘skill building training’ until somebody who went through the session said;

“You did not train me. I learnt what I did, from the experience, so at best you can claim to have facilitated the experience”
- Chetan Dhruve - Author " Why your boss is programmed to be a dictator"

Well we stand corrected, designed for high involvement by participants; The Beanpod Experience is built with real life case studies, which will be customized to meet your organizations specific requirements.

A Beanpod experience typically comprises three to five learning discussions packed with activity; each one is independent of the other. Most discussions last between two to three hours some go all the way to five hours. The Beanpod comprises thirty such discussion packs that can be mixed and matched to tailor make The Beanpod Experience for your organization and several different experiences for your organization itself based on findings from The Beanpod Profiling and to cater to the level in the organization that is participating.

All of us have two parts to our job; functional or technical - this comprises all activities related to the functional role e.g. A technician in a production line preparing the assembly. Business / Management part - This is about innovation, perspective, influence on others, ability to motivate peers, managers etc. e.g. a technician on the production line modifying the process to improve quality of out put and shrink production time.

As one grows up the management ranks the operational or functional content in the job reduces and the management part increases. Very often when we spot a 'Future manager' we reward his functional excellence, whereas when he is a 'Manager of People' he becomes responsible for the motivation, measurement and management of his people which directly impacts quality of deliverables and customer satisfaction, which has a business implication. Therefore, the skills he really needs in his new role, just changed. The way we measure him or look at him changed as well. Understanding the right balance in style of operation, at each level is the key to success.

Some typical experiences that we have conceived currently are based either on the level of participants or specific skill requirements.

  1. The Beanpod Experience for Senior Management – is aimed at the top management or high level leadership team focused on the vision and driving the strategy.
  2. The Beanpod Experience for Middle Management – is designed to assist the middle manager in implementing the strategy through people.
  3. The Beanpod Experience for  Junior Management – is designed for the first time manager and for somebody who has a greater content of frontline implementation
  4. The Beanpod Experience for  the Operative level
  5. The Beanpod Experience in Team Building
